Smart recruitment flow for franchisees
In collaboration with Matchlab, NYP developed a smart, scalable recruitment flow on top of the Recruitee platform, part of Tellent. This automatically matches applicants to suitable locations—based on their preferences and travel distance—while franchisees retain full control over their own processes.
An important starting point: NYP does not employ a central recruiter. Thanks to this solution, responsibility lies where it should: with the franchisee themselves. Matchlab provides the structure, overview, and technological support to make this possible.

The challenge: maintaining control in a decentralized organization
Previously, applicants could only apply to one branch at a time. If they were rejected at one location, they had to start all over again at another location. This was not ideal for the candidate and was also inefficient for the organization. It led to extra administrative pressure for franchisees and an incomplete overview for NYP.

The solution: smart remote matching and candidate preference
Applicants now respond to a single central vacancy for each position. During the application process, they indicate:
- What their zip code is
- How far they want to travel
- And (optional) what their preferred location is
The system automatically matches each applicant to the most suitable location based on their preferences. If there is no response or a rejection, the candidate is automatically moved on to the next suitable location within the specified travel distance.
This keeps the process moving—without the need for manual intervention.
