A more interactive and conversion-focused job search experience thanks to the Matchlab Bridge;
An improved digital candidate journey for multiple candidate target groups.
A career website is often the first real point of contact between a candidate and an employer. For Independer, that was exactly why they decided to take another look at their existing platform.
The existing "werkenbij" platform no longer aligned with the image and expectations of today’s job market. Independer wanted to establish an employer brand that better reflects the organization’s brand identity and is more appealing to various target audiences.
The goal was clear:
Develop a modern career website that not only lists job openings but also showcases what Independer stands for as an employer.
A strong (online) employer brand
Together with Independer, Matchlab worked on a revamped “work at” website within the modules of their ATS system: Recruitee (Tellent). Collaboration was central from the start, with short feedback loops and direct coordination between both teams. This allowed ideas to be quickly translated into concrete improvements in design, structure, and user experience.
Matchlab served as the co-pilot in this process. Not only in the technical implementation, but especially in bringing together employer branding, content, and recruitment technology into a single, consistent experience.
From job board to interactive candidate journey
The new werkenbij website was developed with a focus on user-friendliness, brand experience, and interaction. The emphasis was not only on design, but above all on improving the entire candidate journey for various target groups within the organization.
The project focused on:
- A revamped candidate journey
- A stronger content structure
- Storytelling and video content
- Smarter job filters
- A mobile-first design
An engaging "Careers at" website for various talent target groups
In addition, the Matchlab Bridge was integrated into the website. This solution provides a more interactive way to display job openings, making them more appealing and relevant to candidates. This allows visitors to more quickly discover job openings that match their interests and profile.
The website was designed for multiple target audiences, including entry-level candidates, professionals, tech professionals, data analysts, and customer service professionals. As a result, the candidate experience better aligns with the diversity of talent that Independer is seeking.
A recruitment platform that connects brand and technology
After a development period of about four months, a revamped werkenbij website was launched that better aligns with Independer’s positioning as an employer.
The new environment provides:
- Greater consistency between brand identity and recruitment
- A more professional image for candidates
- A more user-friendly mobile experience
- More interaction in job postings
- Clearer navigation to relevant job openings
The result is a recruitment platform in which content, technology, and brand experience are much more closely integrated.
Ready for the future
A strong career website isn't just about job postings. It's about trust, recognition, and a candidate experience that feels right from start to finish.
With this revamped platform, Independer has taken a significant step toward creating a recruitment experience that better aligns with both the job market and the organization’s employer brand.
